About Mayer EMI (short)

Mayer EMI is a three-person synthesizer company from Bad Vöslau, Austria. Founded by Horst Mayer after 35 years in industrial automation (including co-founding nxtControl, acquired by Schneider Electric), the company designs, engineers, and hand-assembles desktop synthesizers that combine industrial-grade reliability with deep sound design capability.

About the Vibes MD850 (product)

The MD850 Vibes is a 24-voice, 4-part multitimbral desktop synthesizer with wavetable, virtual analog, resonator, and sample-based oscillators. It integrates a clip launcher, drum machine, step sequencer, arpeggiator, and full digital mixer. VibesConnect, a browser-based editor included free with every unit, enables sound design and file management over WiFi or Ethernet without drivers or software installs. Retail price: €1,799. Handcrafted in Austria.
