FM synthesis creates rich harmonic changes through the interaction of operators. This collection captures that changing character as wavetable frames.
Scan the table position with a knob, envelope or LFO. Move from a bell-like attack towards warmer harmonics, or linger on a texture you like.
These are wavetable files, not original FM patches or complete synth presets. They do not recreate an FM instrument’s operators, envelopes or performance behaviour.
You bring the filter, modulation and effects. The table gives you a starting point, not a finished sound.
Use the collection in commercial releases, client work and personal projects. No attribution required.
You may not resell the wavetable files or repackage them into commercial soundbanks.
From familiar FM keys to less predictable feedback textures. Six sound families give you different places to start.
Bell-like attacks and warm sustain harmonics. Scan the frames to bring a different edge to keys and electric-piano sounds.
Dense lower harmonics for basses with presence. Use slow scanning for weight and movement, or faster modulation for a sharper edge.
Glassy tones and metallic overtones. Explore the frames for clean mallet sounds, shifting bells and stranger resonances.
Gradually changing spectra for pads and sustained textures. A little movement in table position keeps a held chord evolving.
Percussive attacks and strong overtone shapes. Starting points for digital organs, clav-like parts and rhythmic keys.
Rougher, feedback-rich spectra for sound design. Find a bright edge, a gritty layer or an unstable texture between the frames.
Standard WAV wavetables with 2,048 samples per frame. Import them using your synth’s wavetable loader; the exact steps depend on the instrument.

You do not need a Vibes to use the collection. But if you want to take these sounds into a standalone instrument, this is the one we build in Bad Vöslau, Austria.
Import your wavetables through VibesConnect in your browser. Then shape and play them on the instrument.
Combine FM wavetable character with samples, including SFZ multisamples. Put a sampled piano beneath a glassy FM layer.
Build patches through a full stereo signal path, with up to 24 shared stereo voices and up to ten effects per synth part. Perform without a laptop.
Yes. We build the MD850 Vibes and share this collection so you can explore the sounds in your own setup. No instrument purchase is needed.
